Sync & backups.
Your iPhone always saves first. When you’re signed in and online, moqyi quietly copies your notes and recordings to your account.
Step 1: What syncs.
- Notes and projects, including notes in Recently Deleted, pins, tags and weekly-review changes.
- Version history — every saved version. If two devices changed the same note, the other edit is kept as a version labelled “Kept from your other device”.
- Shot lists — checklist items, including ones you delete.
- Footage links — the link’s details (which clip, timestamps and notes), not the clip itself. On another iPhone that doesn't have the clip, you'll see “Clip not on this iPhone”.
- Audio recordings — each finished recording uploads to a private storage folder that only your account can read. Uploads work on Wi-Fi or cellular and are retried on the next sync if one fails.
- Permanent deletes — when you delete a note permanently (or its 30 days in Recently Deleted run out), it's removed from your account and from your other devices too.
Step 2: When it syncs.
After you sign in, whenever you come back to moqyi, and any time you tap Settings › Sync now. Sync never runs while you're recording and never sits on the capture path. Settings shows “Syncing…” and the last error, if there was one.
Step 3: Offline.
Recording, saving and on-device transcription don't need internet. Offline, notes save on the iPhone and sync the next time you're online. If two devices edit the same note, the newer edit wins and the other is kept in version history. For shot-list items and footage links, the device that syncs last wins.
Step 4: Download audio on another device.
A note recorded elsewhere shows Download audio (a cloud with an arrow). Tap it to fetch the recording, or just open the note on Wi-Fi and it downloads by itself.
