How it works

Every way in. One way to save.

Seven ways to start a recording, one screen that never changes, and a save that can’t fail.

Always there

In the app

A record button at the bottom of every screen, in the same spot every time.

  • Best when moqyi is already open
  • Optional live text while you talk
Any iPhone · iOS 18

Home Screen widget

Tap it and moqyi opens straight into recording — no note list, no loading.

  • Small: one big record circle
  • Medium: record + your last two notes

Lock Screen widget

The same button, placed on the Lock Screen. Record without unlocking first.

  • Swipe up and recording continues

Ruled out, honestly

Side button

Apple reserves it. No app can use it to start a recording.

Volume buttons

Can’t start a recording from the Lock Screen or another app. Inside moqyi you can set them to stop one.

Recording screen

An empty screen, on purpose.

1

A vibration the instant recording starts — you feel it before you see it.

2

A waveform and a timer. Nothing to read, nothing to decide.

3

One big Stop. It saves, every time.

4

“Swipe up to keep recording in the background.” That’s the only line of text.

iOS has to bring an app to the front to start the microphone, and apps can’t send themselves away afterwards. So we made that moment fast, and identical on the 50th use as on the first.

Live Activity & Dynamic Island

You always know it’s recording.

Pick your style in Settings. Stop saves without opening the app.
